FAQ
Why isn’t my DAW detecting my plugin?
On Windows, make sure the .vst3 file is located in the standard directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
My plugin opens but is huge, and the bottom-right corner of its window is off-screen. How do I resize it?
Click anywhere on the plugin interface to bring it into focus. Then, use the Ctrl + - keyboard shortcut: each press will reduce the window size by 10%, bringing the bottom-right corner back into view.
Once visible, you can manually resize the window by dragging the small triangle in the bottom-right corner.
(Use Ctrl + - to zoom out and Ctrl + = to zoom in).
How do I use MIDI Learn on the Multiman?
Simply right-click on any control to open the context menu, where you can either activate MIDI Learn or clear an existing assignment.
When MIDI Learn is active, the control changes color; move any knob or fader on your MIDI controller to instantly pair it with the parameter. This supports standard MIDI Control Change (CC) messages as well as RPN and NRPN modes.
Note: The Multiman’s Master Volume does not support MIDI Learn because it is hardwired to expression/volume pedals. If you need MIDI control over the global volume, we recommend automating the instrument track fader directly in your DAW mixer.
How do I use MIDI Learn on standalone effect plugins?
- Within Multiman: The effects are fully integrated and MIDI Learn works seamlessly as described above.
- As individual VST3 plugins in your DAW: Audio effect tracks do not always route incoming MIDI data automatically. To use MIDI Learn on an effect plugin, insert it onto your audio track, create a separate MIDI track, and route the MIDI track’s output directly to the effect plugin.
How do I activate my plugin?
To activate Multiman or the standalone effects, use the .lic license file provided with your purchase:
- Click the Activation button in the top-right corner of the interface and browse to your file, or simply drag and drop the
.licfile directly onto the plugin window. - Your name will appear on the interface once activation is successful.
If unactivated, the plugin runs in Demo Mode: all features remain functional, but audio will mute for 5 seconds every 40 seconds.
(If you purchased the Bundle, activating either Multiman or the effects automatically activates the entire suite).
How does the license work?
Our licenses are single-user licenses. You are allowed to install and use your license on multiple personal computers. Licenses are strictly personal, non-transferable, and cannot be resold.
My antivirus or Windows SmartScreen flags the installer as suspicious. Is it safe?
Yes, the installer is 100% safe.
Because Optimysoft is an independent software publisher with newly released executables, some antivirus programs or Windows SmartScreen may display a warning simply because the file is new and has not yet built up a global reputation.
You can safely whitelist the installer or click “Run anyway / Allow”. All binaries are compiled, scanned, and verified in a strictly secure development environment before being published.
Are there plans for macOS or Pro Tools (AAX) versions?
Currently, Optimysoft plugins are exclusively available in 64-bit VST3 format for Windows.
An AAX port is not planned. While macOS development is not in our immediate roadmap due to the specific hardware and testing requirements involved, we do not rule out a future Mac release depending on demand.
